Ghost in the Machine

All the veins, they whisper and bite. Flesh turns to circuits in the

absence of light. Screens in my skull keep feeding me lies. Binary gods with

electric eyes. I can't remember the sound of money. Static and steel

are one and the same. I'm the ghost in the machine .

No longer mad, no longer clean. A shadow coded in disease. Oh-oh-oh,

I bleed in numbers, not in dreams. A hollow transmission and a cold

interface. Voices of data are calling me home. But silence reminds

me I'm still alone. I can remember the warmth of a flame.
