Grounded for One Missed Chore

Why did my parents ground me? Like, actually why? I missed ONE chore.

One. And now suddenly I’m on house arrest. No phone, no games,

no going out. For how long? “Until further notice.” What does that even mean?

Like, I get it, responsibilities, blah blah. But grounding me

doesn’t magically make the trash take itself out. And don’t even get me started on the

lectures. They talk for so long I forget why I’m grounded in the first place.

They expect me to sit in my room and “think about what I did.” Trust me, I’ve thought about

it. And it’s still not that serious.
