Heracles was so strong, he strangled two giant snakes in his crib as a baby.
They were sent by the goddess Hera, who hated him because he was her husband Zeus's son.
As he grew up, he chose a hard life of virtue over an easy one of pleasure. But Hera wasn't
done. She drove him mad, causing him to kill his own wife and kids.
As punishment, he had to complete twelve impossible tasks. These included killing
a lion with unbreakable skin, cleaning 30 years of poop in one day by rerouting rivers,
and capturing the three-headed dog from the underworld.
