Welcome to our lesson on the First Past the Post electoral system. In this system,
the country is divided into constituencies, each electing one representative. Voters choose their
preferred candidate, and the one with the most votes wins. Even if a
candidate doesn't have more than half the votes, they can still win.
This can lead to representatives who don't have majority support. It can also
result in disproportionate representation, where a party wins many seats without a majority
of votes. While it's simple and efficient, it may not always be the
