How APIs Use HTTP Requests and Responses

An API works using something called an HTTP request and response. A request simply

means the app is asking for something, using methods like GET to read data or POST to send

data. The server replies with a response, usually in JSON, which is just a

structured way of sending information. This is how apps talk to servers without directly

touching the database.
