Humanity's African Origins

Every human on Earth descends from a small group that emerged in Africa. This idea is called

the "Garden of Eden" hypothesis. Our story begins around 400,000 years ago in places that

are now Ethiopia and Kenya. These early Homo sapiens, our direct ancestors,

lived exclusively in Africa for thousands of years. Then, they started to

move. First, they expanded into the Middle East, then spread across

Europe and Asia, eventually reaching every corner of the globe. Along the way,

they met other human species. So, no matter where you're from,

your deep history began on the African savanna.
