Hunnam’s Ed Gein Voice Crossed the Line

Charlie Hunnam's girlfriend had to put her foot down about his Ed Gein voice.

The actor got so deep into character playing the notorious killer for Netflix's Monster series that

he couldn't stop using the creepy voice at home. His longtime girlfriend Morgana McNelis

finally told him enough was enough when he started doing it at breakfast. Hunnam admitted

he was slipping in and out of the eerie soft-spoken voice constantly, and she had to draw

the line. He even confessed he regretted taking the role at first because the scripts

weren't ready and all he had were horrifying texts about Gein's crimes. But he pushed through

to find the broken human beneath the monster. Now he's nominated for a Critics Choice
