of prizes. For God. For Gold. For Glory. Narrator: And once...

for a bucket. An oak bucket. A moderately well-made, water-carrying vessel. Narrator: The year

is 1325. Northern Italy. The city-states of Modena and Bologna are at each other’s

throats. The tension is palpable. The politics? Complicated. The hatred?

Real. One night, a group of Modenese soldiers sneak into Bologna.

They don't steal the treasury. They don't kidnap the governor. They steal a bucket

from the town well. Narrator: Bologna is furious. They demand the bucket back.
