Jupiter: Guardian of the Solar System

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system — so massive that every other planet could fit

inside it… with room to spare. 🪐 It’s a gas giant made mostly of hydrogen

and helium, meaning there’s no solid surface to stand on. One of Jupiter’s

most famous features is the Great Red Spot — a gigantic storm that’s been raging for over

300 years and is so large it could swallow Earth whole. Winds inside this storm can reach

speeds of over 400 miles per hour. Jupiter also has the shortest day of any planet.

It spins once every 10 hours, even though it’s enormous. But a single year
