You legally have the right to walk off the job immediately if your life is in danger.

Law. Your boss is legally required to pay for every single piece of safety

gear you need, and they absolutely cannot deduct that cost from your paycheck. They have to run

risk assessments and fix hazards before accidents happen. If they don't,

and things get sketchy, you can refuse to work until it is safe while still getting paid.
