helps: stop trying. Instead, progressively relax every muscle from your toes to your
head. Then imagine yourself at the top of a staircase, counting down to
your special place. Surround yourself with a warm, colorful mist and let your mind drift
without forcing anything. Your subconscious already knows how to sleep,
you just need to get out of its way. The secret isn't trying harder, it's letting go
completely and trusting your body to do what it naturally does every single night.
