root hairs to drink water and xylem tubes to pump it up, keeping their cells
stiff so they don't collapse. Humans are doing the same thing but with way more drama.
We have to filter our own blood because our bodies turn food into a poison called urea.
If your kidneys stop working, that trash builds up fast. It gets even wilder
in the womb where a baby is essentially siphoning food and oxygen from the mom through a cord.
From roots to kidneys, staying alive is just a full-time job of moving fluids and flushing out
the trash.
