Lost in Time

My first day of school lasted my entire life. My dad dropped me off,

promising he’d be waiting when it was over. I was so scared. I cried.

But then school was a blur of making friends, falling in love, getting into fights,

and learning things. It felt like living. When the final bell rang, I ran out to find

my dad, but he wasn't there. The world had completely changed. The gardens were

gone, replaced by skyscrapers and chaos. I was so lost. Then a young boy

came up, took my arm, and said, “Grandpa, let me help you

cross.”
