Your photos aren't ugly, your composition is just lazy. You need to stop
centering every single subject. The real secret is negative space and the rule of
thirds, which means giving your subject room to breathe so the viewer's eye has
somewhere to travel. It is all about visual hierarchy. If everything in your design is big
and loud, nothing is important. Use grids to organize the chaos and guide the brain.
And seriously, stop cutting off people’s feet at the ankles. Master these invisible
lines, and you stop taking snapshots and start telling actual stories.
