Muscles and Their Quirky Names

You have a muscle specifically for drinking beer. It’s called the brachioradialis,

but some call it the "beer drinking muscle" because it’s what you use to lift a glass.

It’s the border between your forearm's flexor and extensor groups. Your body is full

of weirdly named muscles, like the TFL, also known as the "hot dog muscle,"

which helps you get into a car. When you kick a soccer ball, your four quad muscles

extend your knee, while your hamstrings act as the antagonist, pulling back to control the movement.
