It is wild watching Naughty Dog go from making universal classics to being completely at war

with their own fanbase. The reality is that his old partner, Bruce Straley, was likely the one

filtering out Neil’s worst ideas. Once Bruce left, Neil got full control and immediately

forced in the revenge plots and character deaths that were originally rejected. He treats valid

criticism like it’s just hate speech and doubles down on every controversial choice.

He acts like a misunderstood genius, but he’s really just a pretentious theater kid who

thinks ruining a beloved franchise makes him deep.
