A single teaspoon of neutron star material weighs as much as Mount Everest.
These cosmic monsters are the densest objects in the universe besides black holes. When a massive star
explodes in a supernova, its core collapses so violently that atoms literally touch each other.
The gravity on a neutron star is 200 billion times stronger than Earth. You would be flattened
into a layer of atoms instantly. Some neutron stars called pulsars spin up to 700 times
per second, faster than any blender. Their magnetic fields are so powerful
they could erase your credit card from the distance of the moon. Space truly is the
most terrifying place imaginable.
