Night Elevator Operator Rules

“Congratulations! You’ve been hired. Your new job is Night Elevator Operator at a building that

officially closed in 1998. Your shift starts at 12:00 a.m. and ends at 4:44 a.m.

You will be paid $18,000 per shift, no questions asked. Your only task is to press the button

for the floor requested. Do not speak to the passengers. Do not look at the security monitor

after 3:17 a.m. If the elevator stops on a floor that doesn’t exist, remain calm.

If a passenger asks, “Do you remember me?” You don’t. Missing one rule

will result in immediate termination. Good luck. Your first shift starts tonight.”**
