Platform No. 3 at 2:17

The station was supposed to be closed. That’s what the sign said—“Shivpur Station: Permanently

Shut.” But the train still stopped there. At 2:17 a.m., the lights flickered

on by themselves. One by one. Platform No. 3. Rohan stepped down, confused.

The air was colder than it should be—unnaturally still. No wind. No insects.

No sound. Behind him, the train doors shut. Then the train left.

Too fast. The silence that followed was loud, pressing against his ears.

A cracked announcement speaker buzzed. “Passengers… please wait for the last train.”

Rohan swallowed. There were no passengers. Only footsteps. Slow. Wet.
