The five rules for handling prisoners of war are intense. It all starts with the 5 S's: Search,
Silence, Segregate, Speed, and Safeguard. This isn't just
theory; it's a real-world process leaders use after clearing an objective. This discipline
is part of a strict 8-step planning system called Troop Leading Procedures. Time is everything,
so leaders live by the one-third, two-thirds rule: one-third of the time for planning,
two-thirds for the team to prepare and execute. From counseling soldiers to planning
a mission, it’s all about a structured process to ensure success and safety.
