Your pupils are actually snitches that can reveal a lung tumor or even syphilis just

by changing size. If you look in the mirror and one pupil is tiny with a droopy eyelid,

that’s Horner’s syndrome, often caused by a tumor in your lung pressing on

your neck nerves. Then there’s the Argyll Robertson pupil, where your eye shrinks

when you read but completely ignores bright light, a classic sign of advanced syphilis.

And if one eye is stuck looking down and out, run to the ER because that’s a potential

brain aneurysm. Uneven pupils are usually harmless, but sometimes they are literally trying

to save your life.
