Race Condition in Real Life

She texted me last night, "Come over." I smiled. If you've ever gotten

a text like that, like and subscribe. I grabbed my keys and started walking. Halfway there,

my phone vibrated. A call. She was whispering, "Please, don't come."

I could hear breathing. She hung up. A second later, a message appeared. "Come over now."

Then nothing. My phone rang again. I answered. Silence. Then she whispered,

"You weren't meant to hear that call." My chest tightened. That's when it hit me.

In Python, timing matters more than truth. When two events happen together,

the one that runs first becomes reality. I didn't choose wrong. I was just late.
