Real Love Never Forgets

When she was young, a little girl once ran to her father and said, “Dad,

you’re always exhausted. You work too hard.” He smiled softly at her and replied, “I may be tired,

my love, but I’m happy to be tired for the person I love most.” Time passed.

The little girl grew up, graduated with honors, earned an internship, and later secured

a full-time job. Her father grew older. He retired. His body ached more

each day. One afternoon as they walked together, he stopped and sighed, “I’m slowing you

down now, aren’t I? Maybe next time, I should just stay home.”

She squeezed his hand and smiled. “It’s okay, Dad. I’m not in a hurry.
