What we are changing at a conceptual level is that we replace the single, overloaded “Substances”
concept with a clear “Drug Catalogue”, which is explicitly split into three different types:
Active Substances, Carrier Solutions, and Supportive Medication. Each of these represents a fundamentally
different real-world concept and therefore has its own set of fields and rules (for example,
dose calculation and safety limits only exist for active substances, container and capacity
only exist for carrier solutions). This removes the need for users to guess which fields
are relevant and prevents critical data from being missing or misused.
