Your storage firmware is hiding the most important number from you. When you slice up
volumes using Redfish, there is zero way to see how much space is actually left on the array
because the schema simply doesn't support it. You have to hack it.
To use the remaining space, you send a create request with no capacity specified,
and it forces the drive to max out whatever is left. Also, if you are tuning
NVMe performance, stop trying to force a 1MB strip size. The hardware hard-locks you at 256KB.
You can’t code your way around physical limits.
