Refusing to Give Up My Wedding Venue

I (26F) booked my wedding venue two years in advance. It’s a popular place and non-refundable.

Last month, my sister (23F) got engaged and found out her dream venue was already

booked… by me. She asked if I would switch venues so she could use mine instead because

“hers would look better in photos.” I said no. I planned this wedding for years and already

put down thousands of dollars. She started crying and told our parents I was being selfish

and “ruining her special moment.” Now my parents are pressuring me to change venues “to

keep the peace,” even though they won’t pay me back for the deposit. My sister has stopped

talking to me, and my family keeps saying I should “be the bigger person.” am i the asshole
