Respect Cultural Sites While Traveling

Your vacation selfies are actually insulting an entire culture. In Ayutthaya, Thailand,

locals are dealing with a brutal trade-off. They absolutely need the tourism money to survive,

but they hate how visitors treat their home. We are seeing tourists climbing on sacred

temples and literally putting their own heads on headless Buddha statues for a laugh.

That is a massive spiritual offense here. To outsiders, it is just cool

ruins, but for locals, these are active holy sites. It is a messy clash

between cash and culture. Just remember, your playground is someone else’s

temple, so show some respect.
