The world completely reinvented itself overnight during the Second Industrial Revolution.
We went from farming in the dark to electric cities and mass production almost instantly.
But the real magic happened with communication. Alexander Graham Bell decided writing letters took too
long and invented the telephone so we could actually hear each other. Then Guglielmo Marconi
proved everyone wrong by sending wireless signals across the entire Atlantic Ocean.
He literally invented radio and won a Nobel Prize for it. Basically,
these guys laid the groundwork for the device you are staring at right now.
