Rewriting the Rules of Life

The game of life is rigged before you even roll the dice. What you think are

your personal choices are actually social structures pushing you into a specific lane.

It is a concept called structuration. Basically, institutions like schools and housing

markets decide who gets the power and who gets left behind based on class, race,

and gender. It is not just bad luck, it is cumulative disadvantage where

one setback leads to ten more. But you are not just a puppet. We have agency.

When people organize and start social movements, we can actually flip the board and

rewrite the rules.
