idea, meaning you are influenced by your family, school,

and society all at once. But it gets wilder. Rogoff says culture isn't something

you have, it’s something you do. And Vygotsky explains that we use language

as a literal tool to upgrade our minds. It’s called plasticity. You aren't just reacting to the
