Your data in the cloud isn't automatically safe, and the provider isn't fully to blame
if it gets stolen. It’s called the shared responsibility model. Cloud giants like
Amazon and Microsoft are responsible for securing the cloud itself—the physical data centers
and hardware. But you are responsible for securing what you put inside the cloud.
This means managing who has access, encrypting your sensitive files, and securing your
own applications. If your account gets hijacked because of a weak password or you misconfigure
your settings, that security failure is on you. The cloud is just someone else's computer;
you still have to lock your own digital front door.
