She Lied on My Birthday

My girlfriend ruined my birthday… and I didn’t realize it until later that night.

I spent weeks planning my birthday. I didn’t want a party, just a quiet dinner

with my girlfriend. She agreed and even helped me pick the restaurant. On the day of my

birthday, one hour before we were supposed to leave, she texted me saying

she felt tired and wanted to stay home. I was disappointed, but I didn’t want to argue on my birthday,

so I said it was fine. Later that night, I opened my phone… and saw something

that made my stomach drop. That’s when I realized she lied to me.
