I Pretended to Be Asleep While My Husband Cried Last Night We've been married

for six years. He's always been the steady one calm, collected, the kind of man

who seems to hold the world together just by staying composed. He doesn't talk

much about his feelings, and I've always thought that was just who he was strong,

quiet, unshakable. But last night, I woke up to something I've never heard

before. He was crying. Not loudly, not the kind of crying that fills

a room. It was quiet, almost hidden-small, shaky breaths he was trying to control.
