Slow Down to Decide Better

Smart people don't usually make bad decisions because they lack intelligence. They make bad decisions

being smart can sometimes make decisions worse, not better. Most bad decisions

don't come from ignorance; they come from confidence. Smart people often trust their judgment

too quickly. They assume that because they understand the situation, their conclusion

and once that happens, mistakes become easier, not harder. When smart people

sense a decision going wrong, their instinct is usually to think more.
