Stop forcing your users to leave your app just to host an image. It absolutely kills
the user experience. I realized my blog platform was failing because people had to upload pictures
to third-party sites first, which is just lazy design. The fix is actually
straightforward. I set up an AWS S3 bucket to store the files and used Node.js with Multer
on the backend. Multer handles the file intake and filters out the junk,
while the AWS SDK shoots the image straight to the cloud. The server spits
back a clean URL, and boom, the user just copies and pastes it directly into their post.
It turns a clunky side project into something that feels like a real, professional product.
