Struck Down By Divorce, But Not Destroyed

Yeah, I've been struck down. Divorce will do that to you,

it knocks you off your feet. It leaves you gasping for air. But destroyed,

no, not me. I won't give loneliness the satisfaction. I'm learning slowly,

painfully, that being alone isn't the same as being lost. In fact,

I'm starting to see that it's better to be alone than to be sad with someone who makes you feel

invisible. I'm still standing. Maybe a little battered, maybe a little bruised, but I'm not broken,

not destroyed.
