Your body is running on microscopic sugar Legos that decide if you have energy or just structure.
It all starts with one little ring called a monosaccharide, like glucose. That is your quick
fuel. But when you link a bunch of these rings together, you build massive
chains called polysaccharides. Plants use starch to store energy, while animals like us stash it away
as glycogen. It gets wild because cellulose is just another sugar chain, but it is strong
enough to build plant walls. Eventually, your body uses water to snap those chains
apart again, turning that stored structure right back into raw power.
