Here's the controversial part nobody wants to admit out loud. A lot of your so-called accuracy comes from
assuming pain, insecurity or selfishness as the default setting in people. If someone is overly
charming, you don't think, "Wow, what a delightful human being."
Your brain goes, "Ah, yes. Charisma with a side of manipulation,
seen this episode." If someone is too nice, you don't relax. You squint.
You start wondering, "Okay, but what do you want?" And if someone is
distant, you don't assume they're shy. You assume they're hiding something.
