Take Responsibility for Your Choices

Stop blaming the algorithm for choices that are actually yours. We claim screen

time destroys children’s empathy, but research shows the real damage comes from using

devices as babysitters instead of interacting together. It’s the same with fake news—you don't

believe lies because you're tricked by the herd, you believe them because they confirm

your existing political bias. We even use culture as an excuse, ignoring that immediate

pressure often drives behavior more than tradition. We need to stop looking for easy

scapegoats in technology or society and start taking responsibility for how we engage with the world.
