The Biology of Monogamy

Monogamy isn't about romance, it is strictly a biological business transaction.

In the wild, males only stay with one partner if they physically can't find other

females or if the babies will absolutely die without extra help. It is not loyalty,

it is logistics. Females are playing the game too, often cheating just to get better genes

or access to more food. Even parenting is ruthless. Birds will literally

ignore their weaker babies to feed the ones with the best chance of survival. So if you are picky

about a partner’s looks or bank account, don't worry. That is just your evolutionary programming

trying to keep your DNA alive.
