Your computer is basically lying to you about how fast it actually works.
I’m diving into computer systems architecture, and we are literally building memory
from scratch using raw logic gates. We have to design sequential circuits and simulate D flip-flops,
which are the actual physical spots where data lives. The crazy part is calculating the
propagation delay because if you miss a few nanoseconds, the whole brain breaks.
We’re even calculating Hamming codes, which is the math that magically fixes corrupted data.
It is honestly terrifying how much precise engineering goes into saving a single meme.
