The Dance of Atoms and Electrons

Everything you see is just a cosmic dance of three tiny particles. In the center of

every atom are protons, which give an element its identity. But the real drama is with the electrons

orbiting in shells. Metals are super generous and love to give away their outer electrons.

Non-metals are greedy and love to snatch them up. This simple act of giving and taking

electrons is what we call a chemical reaction. When you see rust form,

that’s just iron losing its electrons to oxygen. So, the entire world

of chemistry, from explosions to life itself, is just atoms swapping electrons.
