The Dangers of Power in Leadership

Power makes you act like a total jerk before you even realize it. There is a famous

study called the Cookie Monster experiment where researchers gave random people a tiny bit of authority

in a group setting. Almost immediately, those leaders took the last cookie, ate with their mouths

open, and left crumbs everywhere. It proves that power lowers your inhibitions

and makes you focus on rewards rather than the people around you. Real leadership

isn't about the title or the corner office. If you want to actually influence people,

stop focusing on your status and start checking your own crumbs.
