The Electron Exchange of Life

You are literally powered by atomic theft. It is called a redox reaction,

and it is the only reason you are alive right now. Basically, chemistry is just

a massive war for electrons. One atom loses them, which is oxidation, and another grabs

them, which is reduction. It happens everywhere. When your phone battery dies,

that is just the electrons finishing their trip. When iron turns to rust,

that is oxygen stealing electrons from the metal. Even breathing is just you using oxygen

to rip electrons off your food for energy. Life is really just one endless game

of pass the electron.
