Theater wasn't always about quiet, serious plays. It all started in Ancient Greece with
huge festivals, masks, and stories about gods. Then,
for a thousand years, it was mostly Bible stories performed right inside churches. The Renaissance
flipped the script with wild, improvised street comedy. Fast forward,
and theater got preachy, trying to teach you moral lessons, before exploding
with the huge emotions of Romanticism. Then the 20th century got political, with plays that
broke the fourth wall to make you think. Now, we're in an era
where anything goes—absurd, deconstructed, and totally unpredictable. The stage has always been a wild mirror
