The Exploitation of Labor in Capitalism

Marx said your boss is literally stealing from you and here's how. When you work,

you create way more value than what you get paid. If you make a hundred dollar product but

only get paid twenty, your boss pockets that eighty dollar difference as profit. That's called surplus

value and Marx called it exploitation. But it gets worse. You feel disconnected from what you make

because it doesn't belong to you. Your work becomes repetitive and controlled by someone else.

You can't be creative or express yourself because work is just about surviving, not thriving.

Capitalism turns your labor into their profit while you lose your sense of purpose.
