The Fibonacci Sequence: Nature's Hidden Growth Pattern

There's a number pattern that shows up in nature — but not where you think.

It's called the Fibonacci sequence: 0, 1, 1,

2, 3, 5, 8… The rule is

simple: each number is the sum of the two before it.

Now watch what happens in growing systems. In branching structures, each new split

often builds on the last two stages of growth. In some animal populations,

growth follows the same step-by-step pattern. As Fibonacci numbers grow, the ratio between

them approaches about 1.618. That number is known as the Golden Ratio.
