The Forgotten Hymn

He gave his all when others quit the line. Stayed long after the clock passed

time. When hearts grew cold and faces turned his passion flared

but slowly burned. They said he pushed too far, too loud. Never quite fit

in with the crowd. He watched them smile as he took the blame

while they moved on untouched by shame. Yeah, this forgotten hymn

still lingers in the air. A melody of faith left hanging there.

He walks away, but the sound remains. Through loss, through truth,
