The Grocery Store Water Scam

I stumbled on a Reddit thread that completely changed how I see grocery stores.

Turns out those misting systems spraying vegetables aren't keeping them fresh. They're actually making

produce rot faster. The real reason stores use them is psychological. Wet vegetables look

fresher and weigh more, so you pay extra for water weight.

One guy calculated he spent an additional two hundred dollars yearly just buying water.

The craziest part? Stores know this. They've known for decades. Now every time

I see those misters, I grab from the back where it's dry.
