The Haunted Growing Hair Doll

There's a doll in Japan whose hair never stops growing. It originally belonged to a little girl

named Okiku, who loved it dearly. But when she died at just three years old,

her family put the doll on a shelf to remember her. That's when its short hair started

growing. They trimmed it, but it always grew back, reaching its waist.

The family heard footsteps and saw lights flicker near it, convinced Okiku's

spirit was inside. They gave it to a temple, where it lives today. Monks still have

to give it regular haircuts, and visitors report sudden chills. Last year,

a monk swore it smiled.
